How do I prepare for a Spray Tan?

To get the most out of your Spray Tan, follow these simple steps: 1) Gently exfoliate your skin before your visit. This will slough off any dead skin cells helping you achieve a darker and longer-lasting tan. Make sure you do any shaving or waxing beforehand and try to schedule any manicure/pedicure appointments for before your Spray Tan. 2) Do not apply any moisturizer prior to your Spray Tan. This can act as a barrier to achieving a flawless tan. 3) If possible, arrive for your Spray Tan free of make-up, perfume and deodorant. We know you lead a busy life so we offer complimentary make-up remover wipes just in case. 4) Wear dark, loose fitting clothing. Although our VersaPro booth leaves you dry, you will find this to be more comfortable. 5) Do not workout or sweat for 12 hours after your Spray Tan and be sure to wait the full 12 hours after your session before showering, as your tan will not be fully developed until then.

How long will my Spray Tan last?

If you've properly prepped for your tan and you keep your skin hydrated, your Spray Tan can last up to 7 days. To ensure the longest lasting results, add on our Post-Sunless Hydration Treatment as part of your Spray Tan session for a small charge. It’s so worth it!

How can I achieve the best Spray Tan results?

Our VersaPro Spray Tan booth offers multi-treatment sessions enabling us to add skincare treatments to further customize your Spray Tan session. The Pre-Sunless pH Balancing Treatment and Post-Sunless Hydrating Treatment will ensure you get a flawless tan, every time!

Will my Spray Tan be streaky or splotchy?

Never at Luxe Tanning! Our VersaPro system uses an extremely fine mist and three nozzles to ensure even application and flawless coverage. Our staff will take you through the steps and demonstrate all of the standing positions until you are comfortable. Trust us, it's easy!

Can I swim, shower, and workout with my Sunless Tan?

Of course! But after your session, be sure to wait 12 hours before showering or swimming to allow the formula to react with your skin's amino acids and proteins. After 12 hours, your tan is fully developed and you're free to shower, hit the gym or go for a swim. Keep in mind that swimming in highly chlorinated water may significantly reduce the duration of your tan.

Will the Bronzing Formula stain my hair or clothing?

Nope! We offer both Clear and Immediate Bronze sunless options that are completely water-soluble. We provide a shower cap to cover your hair and will show you how to position it properly. If you do notice some initial cosmetic color on the inside of your clothing or bed sheets, don’t worry, this will come out in the wash.

What's the difference between the Clear and Immediate Bronze Sunless options?

If you choose the Clear option, you will not appear darker immediately after your Spray Tan. It takes approximately 4-5 hours for most people to start seeing colour, and your tan will continue to develop for up to 12 hours after that. If you choose the Immediate Bronze formula, you will see some cosmetic colour right after your session to give you a bronze glow right away (perfect if you’re going out!) however, your actual sunless results will be more visible in about 4-5 hours and will continue to develop for up to 12 hours after that. Be sure to wait the full 12 hours before showering with both Clear or Immediate Bronze options.

What's in the Sunless Bronzing Formula that makes me tan?

DHA (dihydroxyacetone), combined with anti-aging, skin-firming ingredients is the main compound that produces a customized bronze glow. DHA has been an approved cosmetic additive by the FDA for over 30 years. VersaPro chemists have refined the technology to produce the most outstanding formulation that results in silky smooth, glowing skin with a refreshing after scent.

Can I do a Spray Tan before a tropical vacation?

How can I achieve the darkest tan in one visit?

Our ‘Double-Dip’ service is the best way to get dark, fast! Perfect for a date, special event, pre-vacation or photo shoot. A ‘Double-Dip’ starts with an indoor tanning session in our High-Pressure Bronzing Sunbed (OPEN SUN 1050) followed immediately by a VersaPro Spray Tan session. How it works: The Bronzing Sunbed has more UVA than a typical tanning bed, which oxidizes your body's melanin and bronzes your skin. The warmth from this tanning session will open up your pores to help prep you for your Spray Tan session and give you optimum Spray Tan results!
